been forever since i've updated this journal... almost exactly a year(!). wow a lot has happened. i now work for a company named Sanborn editing aerial photography; next time you're on google earth look at the copyright at the bottom. i got married last summer, got a new car a few months back, went for the month of April on an artist residency at the Vermont Studio Center, and just last week bought a house. this year i traveled to Vermont, DC three times, NYC once (unless you count the 3am layover from Burlington), saw Crater Lake in Oregon, and visited the redwoods in northern California. the only downside with all this going on is that i've

Finished a new painting - i'm kinda excited by it, or at least the new direction my art seems to be taking. since i last updated my journal, i started working at the Center of the Earth Gallery here in charlotte. i'm still doing the Mint Museum shops on wednesdays, but hoping to be full-time at the gallery soon - we'll see.

I hereby vow to make more art. I have two paintings i've been working on kinda half-assed but it's time to kick it into gear as I get graduate school applications filled out. wish me luck!
